The existing Jack Young Building is a prominent feature acting as a gateway into Allston from both Cambridge Street as well as serving as a marker from I-90. Our project looks to reinterpret the existing building taking the masonry surface of the facade along Linden Street which wraps a new volume that grows up behind it. As it continues down Cambridge Street the wrapper breaks and exposes the lighter volume from behind. The lighter volume then turns down Highgate Street to redefine the street edge and transitions to a smaller scale residential neighborhood. 

Recently completing zoning approvals, this building will house 65 condominium units and a series of Artist Work Live Lofts.

This project is one of six buildings that is part of the Allston Square master plan that Embarc took through the permitting process with the development team and council.
