Currently going through zoning approvals, the anticipated building will house 104 condominium units.
Design with two primary facades, one faces Cambridge Street and another that faces I-90. To separate the building from I-90 a protective wrapping skin is applied. That skin is then broken as the shorter of the two legs of the building pushes back into the body of the building. As a result the wrapper fractures and folds which allows for a greater diversity of views in the residential units along Wilton Street. Subsequently the top level is pushed back to relieve some of the mass of the overall building.
This project is one of six buildings that is part of the Allston Square master plan that Embarc is currently working on and taking through the permitting process with the development team and council.
