The edges of the site are not perpendicular to the street so rather than create a series of triangular spaces in all the units we rotated the orientation of the units to match the street. As a result we open up views to downtown Boston on the south side and to the Charles River on the other. The mass of the building and resultant sliding volumes can also be thought of as a glacier retreating back from a stony landscape as the lighter color volumes slip to the north and reveal darker neutral layers.
This building is going through the BPDA process, housing approximately 65 residential units with an automated parking facility.
